2022 PAYROLL
To ensure all employees are paid correctly from the beginning of the new school year, Start of Year (SoY) screens for 2022 opened on Wednesday, 8 December 2021.
There is a tool available on the Novopay Website making it easier to know whether to make your SoY changes in EdPay, Novopay Online, or NOVO forms, as well as a Guide that you can download to walk you through the whole process.

OPERATIONAL GRANT FUNDING NOTICES
The January 2022 Operational Grant Funding Notices will be available in the school data portal on 22 December. Please download both the entitlement notice and the instalment notice and upload to Google Drive (2022 Accts - MOE Grant Advices folder).

SCHOOL INVESTMENT PACKAGE EXTENSION
Because market constraints due to COVID-19 and subsequent alert level restrictions have impacted on project delivery and completion timeframes, the School Investment Package (SIP) have been extended until end of June 2022.
If you have identified a project but have yet to submit the opening documents to the Ministry, please do so no later than Monday 31 January 2022. This timeframe is to ensure outstanding projects can be in delivery by end June 2022.
If you haven't identified a project, please contact your property advisor as soon as possible and work with them to identify a project. January 31 2022 is your final opportunity to spend your allocated funding.
If your project is in delivery, continue to work with your project manager to meet the end June delivery timeframe.

XERO TIP OF THE MONTH - REWIND A RECONCILIATION MISTAKE
It happens to everyone: You're in a groove, zooming through your bank feed, and before you know it, you've incorrectly matched a transaction... Ooops!
Xero's "Unreconcile" feature lets you fix this mistake quickly. Since the unreconcile keeps the account transaction and the bank statement line but removes the connection between them, this Xero tip will save you a ton of time and hassle!
How to unreconcile an account transaction:
- Click on the three little dots to the right of the account name on the Dashboard.
- Go to Account Transactions under the Find header.
- Click the transaction you want to change to open it.
- On the next screen, click Options and then select Unreconcile.
- Click OK on the pop-up window to unreconcile the transaction.
After you have completed this process, you can now re-reconcile the bank statement line.

The team at Accounting For Schools will be having a much-needed break over the Christmas and New Year period to relax and recharge, hopefully soaking up that glorious summer sun!
We would like to wish you all a safe and happy summer break on behalf of the entire team. Thank you for your continued support throughout the year; we know its been a challenging and tough 2021.
Our last day in the office will be Wednesday 22 December 2021, and we will re-open Wednesday 12 January 2022. We look forward to working with you again in the new year.
