2025 Annual Accounts Questionnaires: New Process Guidance & Details

 

 

As mentioned in our March General Ledger, your end of financial year (EOFY) questionnaire will now be sent as as a link to upload information to Xero via email, complementing the previous downloadable form system. In this General Ledger Special, we’d like to provide further details and guidance on how the new enhanced EOFY Questionnaire process works and the benefits it offers.

 

This change is part of our ongoing commitment to improving and modernising our services, as well as enhancing the way we collect important information from you.

 

By transitioning to a secure digital format, we aim to make the process more efficient, streamlined, and convenient. No more printing or posting paper forms—everything can now be completed easily online from any device. This change will also help speed up the preparation of your tax returns, reducing delays, and allowing us to finalise your accounts sooner.

 

We understand that change can feel daunting, but rest assured, the new system is simple to use and will guide you step by step through the process.

 

Here's What You Need to Do:

  1. Check your inbox: In the next day or two, you will receive a secure email from All Accounted For with a link to your personalised questionnaire(s). If our email address is not saved as a contact, the email may end up in your spam or junk folder, so please check there if needed.
  2. Complete the questionnaire: Please complete the questionnaire at your earliest convenience and ensure all sections are filled out accurately. The sooner we receive your information, the sooner we can complete your accounts and tax returns. We have also implemented our turnaround guarantee this year, effective from 1 April 2025; where if we have received all the required information and do not provide the annual accounts within four weeks, we will provide a 50% discount on the annual fees. Further, if provided with all the necessary information to complete the annual accounts, and we do not provide the annual accounts within six weeks, there will be no charge from us for the annual accounts work.
  3. Provide complete and accurate information: Ensure all information provided is accurate and complete to avoid follow-ups or delays.
  4. Submit your completed questionnaire(s): Once completed and all necessary documents are attached, simply click “Submit.” We will be notified immediately and can begin reviewing your information.

  • Flexibility to complete at your own pace. There’s no need to finish everything in one sitting. You can take your time answering the questions, and if you’re unsure about any item, you can return to it later. Your responses are automatically saved as you go, allowing you to pick up where you left off at any time.

Getting the Right Information Helps Us to Help You:

 

We would appreciate it if you could please take the time to carefully review the questions and worksheets relevant to both your personal and business accounts. Having all the necessary information allows us to thoroughly review your accounts and ensure you’re not paying more tax than required. For instance, if we do not know about your expenses, we won’t be able to offset them against your income, so you’ll pay more tax than required.

 

Additionally, completing your annual accounts promptly allows you to assess your business's performance. Comparing this year to previous years can help you identify areas of success and those needing improvement—empowering you to make more informed decisions for the year ahead.

 

The sooner we have all of this information, the sooner we can complete your accounts and notify you of your tax position. 

 

For clients utilising Xero, we are likely to need the following key information:

  • A list of stock on hand at 31 March 2025 (if over $10,000);
  • Copies of loan statements at 31 March 2025;
  • Copies of invoices for any large asset purchases (IE: new vehicles, etc.); and
  • Completion of the Use of Home Office template or list home office expenses.
  • We will require additional information detailed on the Non-Xero questionnaire for clients not utilising Xero. 

2025 Turnaround Guarantee

 

Starting 1, April 2025, we will be offering a turnaround guarantee for the completion of annual accounts and tax returns. If we have received all the required information and the accounts are not delivered within four weeks, we will discount our service fees by 50%. If we have received all the necessary information and the annual accounts are not delivered within six weeks, they will be provided at no cost.
