Spring has arrived along with the sun, wind and daylight saving. Hopefully the winter illnesses are behind us all now. The team here have had our fair share of the lurgy over the last two months, and we are all tired of it and looking forward to Summer. Courtney & Maurice attended a conference in Auckland in mid-September and even came home with what we are calling the Jafa virus. Today marks Makes Cents Ltd 21st Birthday. Hard to believe that it is 21 years since we thought of the name and went with it and Maurice went into business. A lot has changed over those 21 years as far as accounting, tax & business advisory goes. Technology has been the main driver with smart phones that do so much more, Banklink was our go to software that we all loved because it was so easy but now we have Xero and MYOB among the most common software, all in the cloud. Let’s not talk about tax and the changes in that area over the last 21 years. We are doing more advisory type work with Makes Cents being your trusted advisor to help you make business decisions and grow your business so that it provides what you want.
Its only 12 weeks till Christmas!! For the next 2 months the team are dedicating their time & energy into getting financial statements and income tax returns completed and signed off. So, it will mean we will be meeting up with a lot of you before Christmas. |
