We are pleased to report that several 2022 Annual reports have already been sent to the auditors, and we are working hard on completing the remainder of our schools by the deadline of 31 March.

If we require any additional information from you, we will contact you. To avoid any delays, it would be appreciated if you could provide us with the requested information as soon as possible.

MINISTRY NOTICES

Pay Equity Funding: On the 29 March, your school will receive a letter in the School Data Portal outlining your 1 April 2023 estimated funding instalment for the 2019-2022 non-teacher pay equity settlements and collective agreements. Please download this and upload it to your AFS google drive folder (2023 Accts - MOE grants).

Is your school growing one of our AFS Native Seed Kits?  

During the 2022 NZPF Conference in September, we gave away our new native seed kits to everyone that visited our booth. Now that we are six months on, we are eager to see the progress you have all made with your seedlings!

Whether you are growing a Kowhai, Manuka, or Kaka-beak, we're looking for the school with the biggest, tallest native plant to be crowned our green thumb winner! The winning school will be awarded a delicious morning tea goodie box for the team!

To enter the contest, visit our Facebook page by clicking the image below and comment on the AFS Native Seed Growing Competition post with a photo of your plant and your school's name. Entries will close on Thursday, 23 March 2023, at 5 pm. The winner will be announced on Friday, 24 March 2023 via Facebook.

If you haven't received an AFS Native Seed Kit yet, don't worry! We will have plenty more available to hand out at the upcoming WRPPA and NZPF conferences this year! 

XERO TIP OF THE MONTH: XERO SEARCH KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS 

Get ready to streamline your Xero experience with keyboard shortcuts! To perform a shortcut:

• Click the search icon  or press the forward slash (/) key on your keyboard while on any screen in Xero (except Fixed Assets, Reports, Projects, Expenses and Payroll).
• Enter the letter corresponding to the screen you want to access.
• Select the screen name that appears below the search bar, or click ADD NEW.

Simple!

To save this handy cheat sheet for future reference to your desktop, right-click on the image and click "save image as".
