Spring is here and Maurice is back from his OE. The election is over and done with, the Black Caps are doing well in the Cricket World Cup, last night the Silver Ferns beat the Aussies in netball, and the All Blacks are through to the semi final of the Word Cup Rugby. What more could we want as we head into the final 10 weeks of the year.

Maurice had a great trip playing golf at the home of golf in Scotland at St Andrews Old Course & never went in one bunker! That was a tick off the bucket list.  He couldn’t find the Loch Ness monster, but tasted a few Guinness in Ireland. When the All Blacks played France in the opening game of the Rugby World Cup they found a sports bar in Dublin, went to it but it was full. Said they wanted to watch the All Blacks, so they were marched through the crowd, people were moved off a table to the one beside and they were seated in front of the big TV. Of course, the All Blacks lost but that was outstanding service. The only problem was the tables next to them ended up being a group of 20 French but the atmosphere was awesome. Their passion & singing their national anthem was amazing.

Election

The election is over and it looks like we will have a new government. We are aware that there were many initiatives put forward that will affect business and landlords. As you can see already it is going to take time for the new government to get its feet under the desk and implement these initiatives. We expect not a lot will happen before Christmas, but as things are announced that affect you, we will let you know.

                                                 Workload

Now it is all hands on deck to get the workload moving and we are making progress. So those who have been waiting a little bit can expect to hear from us soon so we can meet up with your finished work and discuss where you are headed with your business. We are trying to get as much work done as possible over the next few weeks before Christmas is on us. There will be hiccups of course like staff leave or finding new premises, but we are determined to do our best.

New Premises

We are still in the process of looking for new premises and have a couple of options that we are looking at but we want something that suits us, our brand and our clients. Hopefully we can lock something down in the next couple of weeks.

Conference

Next week on Thursday 26th & Friday 27th October Maurice, Courtney & Lyzette will be working out of the office attending a conference, so Bernice will be holding the fort by herself. She may not be able to answer all your questions but will pass the messages on, but it may take a couple of days to get back to you.
