With only a few weeks remaining until the end of the year, we would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude for your continued support and partnership. We genuinely value the trust you place in us and are proud to be a part of your school's financial journey.
The team at Accounting For Schools will be taking a much-needed break over the Christmas and New Year period. Our office will be closing at 12 pm on Friday, December 22, 2023, and reopening at 8:30 am on Monday, January 15, 2024.

Now is the time to start planning for your school's upcoming payments and expenses over the holiday period. To make your preparation a little easier, we have put together a short to-do list below. |

- Remember that there is a payroll on 22 December (PP20), so please ensure there is enough money in the bank to cover this.

Please note that any termination (out of cycle) payments for PP19 will be deducted on 15 December and payments for PP20 will be deducted on 29 December.
- Be aware of any direct debit payments that will come out over the holidays, especially the wages, so leave eough cash is the transcational bank account.

Please reconcile all transactions you can prior to finishing up for the year; this may allow us to complete the GST returns and December management reports while you're still enjoying the sun.

Annualisations:
A reminder to have your annualisation forms signed and submitted to Edpay before your staff leave for the year. It is a requirement for both the Principal and the staff member to sign the annualisation forms. Considering that the deadline for Edpay is January 29th, it's unlikely your staff will be available to sign them next year. |
In Pourato, you can review the components of your additional staffing entitlements, and it's advisable to do this before the end of the year to ensure the accuracy of start and end dates and allocated FTTE, especially for beginning teachers. We've identified several incorrect entries and noted that some schools are missing FTTEs. To locate the screen, log in to Pourato and click on the 'Teachers' tab. You can adjust the year on the right-hand side. |
We recently underwent a thorough cleanout and discovered 91 ring binder folders that are still in excellent condition. Instead of letting them gather dust, we would like to pass on these useful resources to our schools.

We'll be more than happy to coordinate a convenient time for you to pick them up from our location. Please note that this offer is on a first-come, first-served basis.
