As we move further into the year, we wanted to take the opportunity to reconnect with all of our schools and reintroduce the team here at AFS, so you know exactly who to go to for support and how we can best help you.

At AFS, we understand that no two schools operate the same way. Our role is to provide practical, responsive support that helps make the financial management of your school as smooth and stress-free as possible.

Whether you need help with day-to-day queries, reporting, payroll, budgeting, audit preparation, or year-end support, we are here to help.

Meet the Team

Your main AFS contact is typically your assigned accountant; however, our wider team is always here to support you when additional expertise is needed. To help you understand the best team members to contact for different types of queries, we’ve outlined our teams by area of expertise below.

Complex Accounting Matters:

For more complex or strategic accounting matters, including 5YA issues, payroll complexities, and higher-level advisory support, our senior accounting team is here to help.

They work closely with your School Accountant to provide additional technical expertise when needed.

Xero & Cloud Systems Manager

Xero & ApprovalMax Support: 

For all system-related support in Xero or ApprovalMax, including report format changes, new codes, batch payments, journals, and similar queries, Harpreet is your main point of contact.

Harpreet works closely with our schools to ensure your systems are set up correctly and running efficiently and can help troubleshoot or guide you through any day-to-day platform questions. You can contact Harpreet via: harpreet@afsl.nz or 04-909-7729

Day-to-Day Queries:

Your dedicated AFS School Accountant remains your primary contact and first point of support for your school’s day-to-day financial needs. This includes GST, management reporting, coding queries, and general financial guidance, as well as helping you interpret your numbers and stay on top of your school’s financial position.

If you’re ever unsure where to direct a query, your accountant is the best place to start, they’ll either be able to help directly or point you in the right direction within our wider team.
