We are in the process of preparing the 2024 Budget Templates for our regular monthly schools.
We understand that the provisional staffing and funding notices will be available on Pourato on 15 September, 2023 so please upload these to Google Drive so that we can include this information in your template.
Later this month we will send our 2024 Budget Chalkboard special, which provides further information on how to complete the budget templates. Please let us know if you have any questions about the process.
If you are not one of the schools we generally assist around the annual budget, but would like us to prepare a Budget Template report for your School, please contact Allison Henderson via admin@afsl.nz. |

2023 Quarter 4 Operational Funding:
2023 Quarter 4 Operational Funding will be published on Pourato on 22 September, 2023. If you are one of our monthly schools, please upload the following documents:

ABC School Payments (excel) Pay Equity Payment:
On 2 October, 2023 your school will receive the next instalment of funding for non-teaching pay equity settlements and collective agreements. These funds will be paid via Pourato under the payment type 'Non-teach support PE and CA funding'. Before this disbursement, you will receive a letter via the Secure Data Portal (SDP) on 27 September, 2023, outlining the breakdown of this funding. ACC 2023 levy invoice now ready in EdPay:
Your school's 2023 ACC levy invoice is now available to download. Go to Edpay > Reports tab > ACC EoY report > 2023 invoice. Please upload this into Google Drive - 2023 Accts - Payroll folder.
Your school's levy will be deducted from your account on 12 September, 2023. Please make sure there will be enough funds in your account on that date. |

UPCOMING NZPF CONFERENCE QUEENSTOWN 2023 - VISIT US AT STAND #24!

The 2023 NZPF Conference in Queenstown (11 -12 September) is currently in full swing, and as dedicated supporters of Schools and Principals through the business partner arrangement with the New Zealand Principals Federation, the Accounting For Schools team is delighted to be exhibiting again!

| Last Friday, we said farewell to one of our longest-serving accountants, Adam Forrest, who has been a part of our team for over eight years. Adam has enjoyed looking after a number of schools and developing a significant level of knowledge around the financial challenges that schools face.
During his time at AFS, Adam successfully completed his Chartered Accountancy qualification and is now moving on to another accounting role. Adam will be sorely missed by the team and undoubtedly many of school staff he has worked with over the years. All the best, Adam! |
