Thank you to those of you who responded to our recent survey. We truly value your feedback, which will help us better understand what we are doing well, what we can improve on, and areas where you would like further information. There were four key areas you requested assistance with:
- Deciphering depreciation
- Budgeting
- Xero
- Bank Staffing
This is fantastic! We now have the topics for our next four webinars, so keep an eye out for your email invitation sometime in term three. Our survey competition winners will be announced next week on our Accounting For Schools Facebook page, so make sure you are following our page. To those who had specific requests, you should have already received a response email from Tanya Macdonald.
As always, please feel free to contact us where we can be of help. |
PAY EQUITY FOR SUPPORT STAFF |
On 4 July 2022, the Ministry of Education reached an agreement with the NZEI Te Riu Roa on a settlement of the pay equity claim for school administration support staff. The signing of this pay equity settlement is a significant milestone for school administration support staff, and an important step toward addressing pay equity in the education sector.
Following the settlement of the claim, there are actions schools and Kura will need to undertake, as well as some things to be aware of, to ensure school administration support staff receive the benefits and new pay rates resulting from the settlement. This information will be released in Term 3, so for now, there is nothing you need to do other than celebrate this win.
